You can graduate from your GLP-1.

Four weeks with a registered dietitian and an over-the-counter glucose sensor. You see what your body does with food once the medication is out of the picture, and you leave with a plan built from your own numbers.

Two reasons people book this

The GLP-1 Graduation

You lost the weight and you're stopping, or already have. What worries you is putting it back on. In the STEP 1 extension study, people who came off semaglutide regained about two thirds of what they'd lost within a year (Wilding et al., 2022, doi.org/10.1111/dom.14725). The reset is the bridge.

The No-GLP-1 Weight Loss

You'd rather not take a GLP-1 at all. The month runs the same way. What changes is what we look for in the data: which meals spike you and which keep you level, and where the hunger is actually coming from.

What the month looks like

01 Week 1

One hour with your dietitian

First sensor goes on. Goals, what you eat now, your schedule.

02 Week 2

30 minutes

You read the first two weeks of data together and place the second sensor.

03 Week 4

30 minutes

The full month of data next to your goals. You leave with your nutrition plan.

Two sensors and three visits over four weeks, in Manhattan or Long Island City.

Included: two over-the-counter glucose sensors · 60-minute initial visit · two 30-minute follow-ups · a personalized nutrition plan

No prescription needed. Not a program for people with diabetes; if that's you, start with our endocrinology team → /endocrinology

Why a dietitian

Why a dietitian, not an app

Plenty of apps will show you a glucose line. What they can't do is sit across from you, look at the line next to what you ate and how you slept, and tell you which three changes matter for you specifically.

That's the whole job of a registered dietitian, and at neXendo the dietitian works alongside our endocrinologist and medical fitness team, so if the data points somewhere beyond nutrition, you don't start over with a new practice.

Meet the nutrition team

Before you book

Do I need a prescription?
No. The sensors are over the counter. Your dietitian places the first one at your initial visit.
Does insurance cover this?
It's a self-pay package at $549. We can give you an itemized receipt for an HSA or FSA.
What if I'm still tapering?
You can start now. Tell your dietitian at the first visit; dose timing changes how we read the data.
